How many smoke alarms do i need in a rental property?
Landlords are required to put a smoke detector on every storey and principal habitable room (e.g living room and kitchen) of a rental property. A Carbon Dioxide detector is required in any room where there is a working fireplace or solid fuel appliance.
We now use radio link bases to limit damage to property's.

How does an installation electrician check for faulty wiring?
A licensed and qualified electrician can check for faulty wiring by looking out for flickering, buzzing and dimming lights, and whether your fuse box trips often. If your circuit breaker trips regularly – once a month or more – it’s a solid indicator that there’s a deeper, potentially dangerous problem with your home’s electrical wiring, or that you’re overloading that circuit with too many high-energy-demanding devices or appliances. Other things electrical install engineers look for are: Smoke, Odours, Damaged wires & arching.

What is an Rcd & what are the benefits?
An RCD is a Residual Current Device. It’s designed to protect against electrocution and electrical fires by cutting off the supply of power when it senses a leakage of electrical current from a circuit. An RCD monitors electric currents in circuits or individual items and will switch off the electricity automatically if there is a problem. For example, if you cut through a cable with a power tool, the power switches off, eliminating the chance of injury from electrocution.
RCDs also offer protection against electrical fires.
